Janaki Medical College Nepal

Janaki Medical College is being developed and promoted by private sector in Janakpurdham, Nepal as an institution to provide undergraduate medical training programme (MBBS) for 100 students intake per year.


The national health policy of His Majesty's Government assures to encourage private sector to establish health institutions for development of extended health care services in Nepal under prescribed policy of HMG. This institution will be able to offer opportunities for national and international students to study MBBS courses and fulfill the manpower requirements of the nation.



Curriculum Out Line
  • Curriculum has integrated teaching learning activities and encourages problem-based learning.
  • Curriculum is divided into three phases namely the first phase, second phase and third phase.
  • The First phase is of two year duration and teaching is organized in following subjects:
    First year-Community medicine and integrated basic medical science.
    Second year-Integrated basic medical science which includes Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry Pathology, Pharmacology and Microbiology continued.
  • Second phase is of one year and teaching includes as follows:
  • Forensic medicine, Applied epidemiology, Family Health, Internal medicine, Surgery, Gynecology & Obstetrics and pediatrics.
  • Third phase is of one and half year duration and includes teaching of Eye, ENT, Orthopedic, Dentistry, Psychiatry, Dermatology, Anesthesiology, Accident and Emergency Medicine.
